Interview with Graphic Designer / Saudia Furcron | Edition VII

How do you describe your Graphic Art to people?
If I had to I would say that my art was edgy, clean, and colorful. Just like me. Yeah, that sounded good.

So what is the motivation behind your whole movement?
If I didnt say money I would be a liar. As far as it being a movement, i dont know. Its just my passion. I dont think that your art should be determined by the amount of people who like it, it should be cherished and loved by those that are moved to understand the concept.

Who are some people you would like to work with?
I would loveee to work with Beyonce and Elton John. I love glitz and glamour. I am destined to be in Hollywood maxing with the stars. Owww! Maybe living the fast life in LA or NY.

How does music influence your work?
Sometimes the mood of the music inspires color and texture for me.
Gotta love a melodious mixture of design and creativity.

Do you feel like what you are doing is important?
Its important to me and my clients. Thats all I can ever ask for.

When you started out did you think it would be a serious business?
When you pursue your passion, you should always take it seriously. Thats a pretty “lame” question. If you dont take yourself seriously from the beginning, why should you think other people will?

Must art have a relationship to the rest of the world?
Art is not meant to have a “relationship” with the rest of the world that would be too exclusive. Art is mean to be your girl on the side. The one that does the things that your girlfriend wont do, and keeps you coming back for more. Sorry I think I that compare everything to women, what can I say I love the ladies, lmao.

Lastly, could you talk about any long-term goals you have in mind?
Right now I am just working freelance and trying to finish up this last year of school. After that its to infinity and beyond. My dream would be to be a freelance artist or subcontractor for the entertainment industry. Yep thats about it.
