When did you both realize that you wanted to become fashion designers?
Well we have always been into fashion since we were little girls, we haven’t always planned to be fashion designers, it was an accident that became something that we stuck with. It was a hidden talent, No one taught us how to design, we didn’t go to school for fashion. We believe fashion is ART. and it was a talent that we were born with.

and what was the first sunglasses you ever designed?
The first pair of glasses we ever made was an accident that became AMAZING!! the first pair were “ok” we were just experimenting, then once we found the look we were going for we just started designing away with different styles.

What was the main factor for launching your line when you did?
We pretty much wanted to hurry and launch it to show we were one of the first creators for custom shades with studs. To get our name out there before people start trying to copy our product. Now when people see a custom studded shades, we want people to automatically know ” that’s from coco and breezy’s line”

What is your favorite part about conceptualizing a design?
My Favorite part of making a Concept for a design is to get peoples reactions after the design is made. Also when we think of a concept ,we get inspired by the craziest stuff :)

Do you feel like what you are doing is important?
Yes, I do feel like it is very important. we are only 19 years old, we are young and black designers which make it harder in the fashion world, but we are going for it. We just want to be young and successful. We feel like our generation is going to be the next big fashion names.

Your concepts are very unique and original is there a pressure to always maintain that consistency with your new designs?
Yes there is alot of pressure, crazy unique designs are always in our head, but picking which designs we want to release to the public. We have to make sure there is nothing else out there like it, and that it is different. We want all our designs to be distinct and know that coco and breezy made it

How do you separate yourself from others?
Well we are different because allot of designers are behind the scene, with us we have created an image. “Coco and Breezy identical fashion twins ” Is our image, we also model our line.

Would you sell if someone came along and offered to buy you out?
I would have to say yes and no at the same time. The reason for that is,we have created something new in the fashion world. We love what we do, but we would use that money to start another line, and bring something else new to the table. But for now Gemela Amor by coco and breezy is ALL US 😉

Lastly, could you talk about any long-term goals you have in mind?
Yes we have a Few long-term goals. We want to See our line “Gemela Amor” by coco and breezy def. expand to other products. We also just want to say, its all about taking risk. We are from Minnesota, and just moved to NY about 1 month ago. We moved out here, last minute with no job or no family out here. We just have high Plans and lots of ambition. Good to say now, We are on our feet with our line, and ready to take over NYC :)
