Please Excuse My English…
How do you describe your Brand to people?
Beyond Clothing: We are a team of young motivated and interested designers, photographs, musicians and skateboarders and we live for that what we make.
What is the motivation behind your whole movement?
Beyond Clothing: We made it because it is our life and it makes us happy. We want to design fashion what it is in our mind and we hope other people like it , too.
When did you realize you wanted to become a fashion designer?
Beyond Clothing: I think it was 6 years ago when I did my first shirt design for the metal band of my friend.
And what was the first article of clothing you ever designed?
Beyond Clothing: This Shirt for my friend’s band! 😉
What was the main factor for launching your line when you did?
Beyond Clothing: 3 Years ago I decide to drop my own line after I made a lot of band shirts, cover artworks, flyer, poster and so on.
What is your favorite part about conceptualizing a design?
Beyond Clothing: All, I integrated in all processes, but my favorite part is the communication with our designers which live in all over the world. I like the moment when we finished the design and all are happy with the result. I also like the moment if the shirt is printed and I can hold it on my hands first time.
Do you feel like what you are doing is important?
Beyond Clothing: For me is it important, it makes me happy and that is also the reason that I made it. It is my little baby and I like it very much. 😉
Your concepts are very unique and original is there a pressure to always maintain that consistency with your new designs?
Beyond Clothing: We have no pressure because we only do what we like.
How do you separate yourself from others?
Beyond Clothing: I think we are unique because we combine our hobby, job, our friends, young bands or musicians, skateboarders, designers and a lot of more to a whole thing. We are not a business brand and must earn a lot of cash with our stuff, we only want to make clothing which people enjoy and like to wear.
Would you sell if someone came along and offered to buy you out?
Beyond Clothing: I can’t sell my baby!
Lastly, could you talk about any long-term goals you have in mind?
Beyond Clothing: In late August we start our first exhibition in Bautzen / Dresden / Berlin (Germany) and I hope a lot of people come and see what me made and that it is not only a shirt brand like many others which only want top earn money with their business. A next big step is our new collection which came on earth in September. Actually we produce our first Skateboards in the USA and we want to make more in this direction. We also have plans in producing pants and shirts. We make it step by step.
Thank you to all which support us and our baby in the first 3 years,.
