Describe your art as if we were blind:
Energy a lot of energy filled with pure emotion I make uptempo music because I love to move crowds
How is the Internet changing your craft?
Adapt or Die the Internet makes it easy for me to see my competition, Jeremy Lin was killing it before that scouting report came out then teams adapted to him and he couldn’t maneuver how he used to, I love the Internet its a great feeling when I just recorded something and can release it to the world as soon as its done and get an instant response, today music is coming out so fast you have to stay on your toes.
Do you feel like what you are doing is important?
I definitely do feel that what I do is important, The message I put in my music is that I don’t do drugs I don’t murder any body so I don’t talk that. There are millions of other things you can say and I want the youth to learn that that you can truly be yourself on a song and still execute a powerful verse.
When you started out did you think it would be a serious business?
I started around age 5 or 6 talking about ninja turtles and power rangers I never thought this would be what it is now it amazes me everyday when I hear a song and I’m like damn I created that out of nothing…. Music is awesome! Ha
Who are some people you want to be interacting with this year?
We have been working on visuals this year so we are scouting up and coming directors also looking for a collective of individuals with different valuable ideas and talents, to look at this craft as more than just music!
They say great art is stolen, what have you stolen/learned from another artist lately?
I have learned to use the Internet Internet Internet haha also that no matter how good you are or how much you care about something there will be hate, someone out there on their computer Mac laptop or iPad is going to dislike you just to dislike you or genuinely hate your guts haha for the millions that love that same number of people will not….I just don’t read or pay it any mind haha that can fuck up your day
Must art have a relationship to the rest of the world?
There would be no art without it we are constantly influenced by everything around us i.e the world talks about cupcakes make songs about cupcakes you hate cupcakes so you make a song about hating cupcakes…you were influenced so your still talking about cupcakes….why I used that as an example because I’m starving and food is defiantly on the agenda right now ….you can’t make art about something you don’t know anything about we can all sense when something is fake or not genuine, art always has had a relationship to the world and it always will.
Lastly, could you talk about any long-term goals you have in mind?
Everyone wants to be top 5 dead or alive …well those spots are already taken… I want to be respected as the first me !
