With his sound successfully encapsulating the positive growth in UK music today, Nate’s clever fusion of genres, showcased in his most recent mixtapes Suede Jones and Never Average Talking Excellence, has quite simply cemented his brilliance, receiving a reception surpassing the young Londoners hopes; “…really I just want people to like it, I got people hitting me up from Albania and shit so that’s live! The music never stops traveling I guess.”
Since putting forward his first offering Never Ask Take Everything in 2011, Nate has speedily hit the ground running, captivating the attention of Radio One’s Gilles Peterson and SBTV’s Jamal Edwards. He has also gone on to support acts such as Mac Miller and MMG’s very own Stalley in concert.
Not only wanting to impress lyrically, Nate’s visual contributions have gone from strength to strength. His latest videos FX With The Life directed by Jon Phonics and Momentum directed by Stay Hungry are clear examples of that.
Keeping fairly tight lipped regarding future projects, if the past year and a half is anything to go by, we expect great things from the undergrounds latest star, “Long term goals, build a house, start a brand, release music for sale and profit off it, stay credible. Yeah, if I do that I’ll be haps.”
